I don’t want to talk about specific chapters or individuals as I believe it’s better to be told it’s a great read/listen, without giving away any of the incredibly delightful and captivating tales within, as to go in blind and experience it as it unfolds is a thousand times better. This was followed by listening to the remaining hour as soon as I had my place to myself again. Little did I know that I would continue to extend the time by 30 minutes repeatedly, as I could not stop listening and only eventually stopping so as to get some sleep.

I tried to set myself a timer of 45 minutes, going to bed, just that little bit earlier so that I could tap into the source of inside stories and experiences from all involved, and that of my childhood crush Cary Elwes, before I went to sleep.

Despite not having seen the film recently, I was immediately transported back to first time I seen the film and filled with that unwavering love of each and every character and the film as a whole. I more often prefer to read from an actual book as opposed to listen to one but given those involved, I knew I had to go audible for this one and I was not disappointed (not that I ever considered I would be, mind you). The opportunity to listen to Cary Ewles talk about the movie as well as those involved was almost too good to be true, as ever since I was first introduced to The Princess Bride as child on vhs, it became (and remains) one of my top ten films of all time.
